A weekend in Rome is a great idea at any time of year. No matter how many times you visit you can’t help but marvel at its beauty.
You would want to be made of stone if Rome did not impress you. There are ancient wonders at every corner: the Vatican, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain – need I go on? I love admiring the stylish Italians on the Via Veneto, as well as spotting the locals hanging their washing on their side street balconies. There are Italian trattoria’s serving fresh pasta on every street and the aroma of fresh coffee fills the air – a weekend in Rome is a feast for the senses.
I found a great deal flying out on Saturday the 21st of March, a great time to enjoy a weekend in Rome. Fly from Dublin and stay in the 4-star Hotel Milton Roma. Highly recommended on TripAdvisor and ideally situated to explore this marvellous city, it is a steal at €198 for flights and three nights accommodation!
