Short Break in Marbella – 14th May, Flights & Hotel, 3 nights €272pp
Kickstart your summer with a short break in Marbella for just €272! This super deal includes flights and three-nights hotel accommodation.
May is a great time to enjoy a short break in Marbella. The Old Town and marina at Puerto Banus are less busy, and of course prices are lower than the peak summer months. Ryanair is offering return flights from Dublin to Malaga in October for just €110, and there is a host of accommodation options to choose from.
Enjoy long strolls along the promenade that leads from Marbella Old Town into Puerto Banus. The Old Town is extremely pretty, and in typical Spanish fashion, boasts white washed buildings brimming with pretty flowers.
The main square, Orange Square, has a wide selection of restaurants to choose from, and you will find plenty of retail therapy in the Old Town.
Puerto Banus is where the nightlife happens – the port is adorned with numerous bars and restaurants. Although restaurants and bars are plentiful, it is recommended to book your favourites in advance. However, travelling in May you should find things are a lot less busy here.
There is nothing quite like wandering from one end of the port to the other, gazing at the super yachts berthed in the marina, or ogling the luxury cars zipping past. There are plenty of designer shops along the marina too, if even for window shopping.
However, Puerto Banus offers more than just the marina. There is a large selection of shops and restaurants away from the port, including a large El Corte Ingles, that sells everything from clothing to kayaks.
I found a great deal to the 4-star Princesa Playa Apart-hotel, which is located right beside the beach and just five minutes walk from the Old Town in Marbella. The small roof-top pool with sea views is particularly popular with guests. The location couldn’t be better and is highly recommended on TripAdvisor.

This is a super choice if you are looking for short break in Marbella that won’t break the bank. Price is just €162 per person for three nights on the 14th of May.
If you are looking for the glitz and glamour that Marbella is renowned for, then check out the adult-only Amàre Beach Hotel. Its stunning beachfront location on top of its stylish modern interior, luxury Spa and upmarket Amàre Club, has made this hotel the place to be seen in Marbella. Price for a three-night stay here is €325 per person.
