1. Puerto Rico, Terraza Mar Suites, 13th September, €465
Originally a small fishing village, Puerto has been transformed into a lively holiday resort which offers all you need for a fun filled holiday. Purpose built, Puerto Rico is set into the hillside so sea-views are a given! There is a stylish marina, a sandy beach, two shopping centres and a wide choice of bars and restaurants. The Terraza Mar Suites are one of the most sought after apartments in the resort and are rated very highly on tripadvisor. Centrally located, they are only 300 meters from the shopping centre and approximately 12 minutes walk to the beach. On site there is an outdoor swimming pool, pool bar, restaurant, tennis courts and a children’s play area. The apartments are very well equipped inside too, with satellite TV’s and sun loungers on the balcony or terrace. *TOPTIP: Add on extra legroom seats for €20 per person and receive €100 off the price as the total value will now be over €1000. 2. Majorca, Alcudia, Mariners Club Apartments, 14th September, €369
Located in the popular resort of Alcudia you have the option of enjoying the magnificent 14km beach, exploring the historic old town or enjoying the lively bars in the bustling new town. Located in a quiet area yet only a ten minute walk to bars and restaurants, the Mariners Club offers the best of both worlds. Apartments are bright and spacious and are highly rated on tripadvisor. You can choose to spend your days relaxing by the large swimming pool or stroll to Alcudia’s sandy beach, located about 15 minutes away.

3. Salou, La Pineda, 4* Golden Donaire Beach, Half Board, 21st September, €483
Located on a wide golden sandy beach, close to the town centre and only a few minutes drive from PortAventura theme park, it is no wonder this hotel is so highly rated on tripadvisor. There is plenty going on here with day and evening entertainment, sports activities and regular live music. If you like to get out and explore the surrounding area, then this is the perfect choice, with Barcelona, Tarragona and Montserrat all close by and easy day trip options.

4. Ibiza, Apartmentos del Rey, 27th September, €377
Quietly situated close to the laid back town of Portinatx, this is the ideal spot if you want to discover the island of Ibiza without the distraction of lively bars and discos. Relax by the pool and enjoy seaviews or stroll down and spend the day on one of Portinatx’s three beaches. There are plenty of nice bars and restaurants in Portinatx, which has a chilled out vibe, or get out and about and explore the rest of the island. This popular complex is excellent value and rated highly on tripadvisor.

5. Zakynthos, Katerina Palace Hotel, B&B, 18th September, €490
I spent a week in Zakynthos a few years ago and loved it. There is so much to see and do you will spoilt for choice. A visit to Navagio or ‘Shipwreck Beach’ is a must, it is one of the most photographed beaches in the world! For me though, the beauty lies in just chilling out on Zante’s beaches and enjoying some tasty Greek food in local tavernas. The popular Katarina Palace Hotel is situated in the popular resort of Argassi, which is ideal choice for a relaxing break away. Highly rated on tripadvisor, they have a swimming pool on site and are located beside the beach and resort centre.

6. Corfu, Loulas Village apartments, 21st September €496
Rated number 1 on tripadvisor, the Loulas Village has been receiving Irish holidaymakers for many years. Kostos will be sure to give you a warm welcome and make you enjoy this laid back, family run apartment complex. Ideally located with some excellent restaurants and bars close by, this is a the perfect property to experience some traditional Greek charm.

7. Ibiza, All Inclusive, Sirenis Cala Longa Resort, 27th September, €595
This resort has everything you could possibly wish for and then some! Peacefully located next to a wide sandy beach, with all meals and drinks included, you may well find it hard to leave! Facilities on site include sports and activity programmes with daily entertainment, including evening shows every night. There are three swimming pools to choose from including an adult only pool, and all have seaviews. Choose to relax in the sauna or whirl pool bath or get active on the open-air balcony with cardio machines. The buffet restaurant has live cooking stations with a mix of international dishes as well as local favourites, and there are five bars, three of which serve snacks during the day. This hotel is highly rated on tripadvisor and with all meals and drinks included it is excellent value for a week away in the beautiful island of Ibiza.

8. Algarve, Oceanus, 30th September, €390
Located in the quiet village of Olhos d’Agua, the Oceanus apartments are in the heart of the resort, with restaurants and close by and the beach only a five minute walk away. They are also very close to Albufeira and Vilamoura if you fancy a change of scene. The apartments are spacious and well equipped with air-conditioning and a flatscreen satellite TV. Highly rated on tripadvisor and awarded a certificate of excellence, these are a great choice for a holiday in the Algarve.

The Haiti hotel is ideally located in the laid back resort of Ca’n Picafort. There are plenty of sports activities on site as well as a nightly entertainment programme. With all meals and drinks included in the price, you may decide to spend most of your time in the hotel! If however, you choose to go out, the town centre and beach are only a ten-minute walk away. If you don’t fancy the walk, the mini-train stops right outside the hotel, which takes you to the resort centre. 10. Lanzarote, All Inclusive Morromar Apartments, 20th September, €533
Lanzarote is always a popular choice with Irish holidaymakers. Located in Matagorda and just a ten-minute walk from the beach, the Morromar apartments offer the best of both worlds by being peacefully located, but also close to the busy resort of Puerto del Carmen, should you fancy a livelier scene. Although this deal includes all meals and drinks, you have the added advantage of staying in a spacious apartment, equipped with a kitchenette and a separate living room. There are two swimming pools surrounded by tropical gardens and there is a wide selection of sports activities, as well as a day and evening entertainment programme, on site.

Salou: 4* H10 Vintage Salou, Half Board, €799pp
The highly rated H10 Vintage Salou is located in the heart of Salou and just a five-minute walk from the beach. Recently refurbished, it has received glowing reviews from previous guests. There are separate family and adult only pools, as well as a Beauty Centre with gym, sauna and treatment rooms.
The buffet restaurant has separate cooking stations with a different grill or carvery each night. There is a choice of bars too including an adult only bar with a sun terrace on the 6th floor, as well as an evening entertainment programme.
The H10 Vintage Salou is one of the best rated hotels on TripAdvisor and is a super choice for adults looking for a centrally located hotel within easy reach of Barcelona, Tarragona and the Costa Dorada.
Price for a seven-night stay from Shannon with flights, transfers, checked baggage, and breakfast and evening meals is €767 on the 29th of August. Price is €799 on the 25th of August from Dublin or €834 on the 22nd of August from Cork.
Kos: Imperial Hotel, B&B, €472pp
KosThe Imperial Hotel is another top choice that is rated Excellent on TripAdvisor. Located in Kos Town with bars and restaurants close by, and just eight minutes walk from the beach, this is a great choice for a hotel stay in Kos. There is a pool and restaurant on site, and breakfast is included in the cost.
Zakynthos: Alykes Garden Village, 27th August €512pp
Located between the resort of Alykes and Katastari village, the Alykes Garden Village enjoys a peaceful location, but is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach and traditional village.
There is a pool, sun terrace and snack bar on site, and this top-rated property receives excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. This is a great value choice for anyone looking to explore the island of Zakynthos this summer.
Rhodes: Nimar Villagio Apartments, €519pp
Rhodes is a beautiful Greek island that has so much to offer holidaymakers. Rhodes Town has a chic waterfront packed with trendy bars on one side and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Colossus of Rhodes, on the other. There is lots to discover outside the capital too, from the hilltop town of Lindos to the neighbouring island of Simi.
I have chosen the Nimar Villagio apartments which are located in a countryside setting but just a 15-minute walk from Afandou’s village square and Rhodes’ longest beach. They are a great choice for a relaxing stay or if you want a nice base to explore the island.
Price for a seven-night stay from Dublin with flights transfers and checked baggage is €569 on various dates in August.
Lanzarote, 4* Las Costas Hotel, Half Board, €831pp
Lanzarote is one of the most popular holiday destinations from Ireland, and I’ve found a deal in one of its most popular hotels! The Las Costas Hotel is located right on the beach but also posts a pool with stunning sea views. There is also a snack bar, cocktail bar, gym and Spa. Check out the reviews on TripAdvisor if you still need convincing.
Turkey: Babadan Apartments, 7th August, €509pp
Located in the relaxing resort of Icmeler and within easy access to bustling Marmaris, this offers the best of both worlds. The highly rated Babadan apartments boast two pools and a restaurant on site, and is ideally situated to explore the old and new town of Icmeler, it is also just five minutes walk from the beach.
Price for a seven-night stay from Dublin is €559 on the 7th of August including flights, transfers and checked baggage.
