A luxury South Africa holiday visiting Cape Town, the winelands as well as a five star safari. If you want to discover South Africa, this is the way to do it.

South Africa is one of my favourite countries to visit. We spent our honeymoon there and I have already booked to go back next Easter with my family. There is only a two hour time difference between Ireland and South Africa so thankfully jet lag isn’t a problem and the cost of living is so low, you need very little spending money. South Africa has everything you could possibly desire in a holiday destination, and then some! It is home to one of the world’s greatest cities, a sophisticated wine region, endless pretty towns and villages to explore and a multicultural society, that despite it’s history, live together happily. Dining options and sports activities are endless. Whether its shark diving or bungee jumping, sushi or spaghetti, you will find it in South Africa. Of course let’s not forget the opportunities to see the BIG 5, with a choice of luxury safari options, you will be spoiled for choice here.

I have teamed up with Tropical Sky who offer a wide range of holidays to South Africa. Whether you seek a city break in Cape Town, a trip along the Garden Route or a combination of both, Tropical Sky can arrange a holiday to suit you. I have chosen this luxury South Africa holiday, visiting Cape Town, the winelands as well as a  five star safari, because not only do I love the variety on offer but it is also great value. The prices quoted include flights, car hire, luxury hotels and a five star safari with meals and game drives included.

After flying into Cape Town you will collect your car and drive to the Vineyard hotel for four nights. This elegant boutique hotel over looks Table Mountain and is located in the Newlands district.  Explore the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, climb to the top of Table Mountain and drive around the Cape of Good Hope. Get the obligatory picture as you stand at the most south western point of the African continent! Don’t miss the trendy sea side town of Camps Bay and the colourful beach houses on Muizenberg beach. Just writing this is bringing back some amazing memories!

After an action packed four days you will then drive to the popular city of Stellenbosch, which will be your home for the next three nights. This is your chance to relax, enjoy some wine and the surrounding countryside. The town of Stellenbosch comes alive at night time, with some great night life, dining options and of course a wide selection of wineries to choose from. We shipped some home when we were there and had some great nights reminiscing about our trip when we were back in Dublin. You will be staying in the highly rated Oude Werf Hotel. This hotel is full of history and it’s unique mix of old style classics with contemporary styling will be sure to please.

After a relaxing few days enjoying some delicious South African wine you will then catch a flight from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth where you will be transferred to the 5 star Shamwari Game Reserve for a three night stay. This is the perfect way to finish off your South African adventure. Enjoy two game drives per day searching for the Big Five and stay in luxurious accommodation in an authentic African setting. The best holiday experiences I have had were on safari. There is nothing quite like being out in the African savanna , being a guest in the animals home. It is an experience like no other and one that you can only comprehend once you have done it 💛 The icing on the cake is there are are no lengthy bus journeys back to the airport as you will fly home from Port Elizabeth.
