Santorini is on every list of top places to visit in the world. There are many cruise ships making daily stops but like many of you, I have always wanted to take a holiday there. The picture postcard villages of Oia and Fira have to be one of the best places in the world to watch the sunset – something you should get to see on this Santorini Holiday.

 
The island itself is quite small, so if you choose to stay on the beach side, you will never be longer than 30 minutes bus ride from the stunning villages of Oia, Imerovigli and Fira. The beach resorts have plenty of life and the restaurants and bars offer better value for money.
 

 
You quite often see luxury hotels with infinity pools being advertised but it is also possible to enjoy a Santorini holiday on a budget. You can fly from Dublin to Athens with a short layover, making the total journey time only six hours. There are also plenty of three and four star accommodation options to choose from.
