Want to boost your Avios balance before Christmas? Check out these amazing Avios promotions in Kildare Village, SuperValu, online, and introducing collect-on-card at Decathlon.
Many of you will know that I am no stranger to collecting Avios, I have been working with Avios for many years now. I enjoy collecting them regularly in shops, both online and in store. I have accumulated almost 100,000 Avios and I have lots of handy tips to boost your Avios balance below.
I happily used my Avios to pay for Aer Lingus flights to Spain this summer. Unfortunately I had to cancel my trip – but all was not lost, as the Avios were refunded back into my account. And, when I heard that Aer Lingus are flying direct from Dublin to Santorini next year, I was excited to know that I could now pay, or part-pay, for my flights with Avios.
Is it worth collecting Avios if I don’t fly regularly?
Absolutely! For those of you who think you need to fly regularly to benefit from joining AerClub – you don’t! Less than 10% of my Avios were accumulated by flying. There are over 100 stores offering Avios via the AerClub eStore, and local shops like SuperValu, Kildare Village, Appleby, and new member Decathlon, are Avios partners too.
Once you accumulate Avios, you can use them to pay for reward flights, hotels, car hire and travel experiences. You can also use them to part-pay for Aer Lingus flights. So even if you have only accumulated 400 Avios, you can use them to get a discount off your next Aer Lingus flight.

During the festive period there are many easy ways to boost your Avios balance – here are my top five.
Collect Triple Avios at Kildare Village
Kildare Village is fabulous at any time of year, but Christmas-time is magical 🎄. The village is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. The outdoor shopping experience is ideal during these times, and they have a convenient virtual queueing system. Simply use your phone to scan a QR code outside each shop, join a virtual queue, and then you will receive a text message when it is your turn to enter. It is a great system, that reduces queuing times and crowds. You can also pre-book parking.

Kildare Village is the perfect place to pick up something special at discounted prices. There are over 100 brands including popular stores like Maje, Karen Millen, Kurt Geiger, Superdry and Mint Velvet, and you will receive discounts of up to 60% off retail prices. There are amazing designer bag shops too, including Coach, Kate Spade and Prada, and I rarely leave without something for the kids. Nike and all the sports shops are superb, and Ralph Lauren always has great bargains for Christmas. You can even accumulate points in restaurants!
