There is a swimming pool on site and its close proximity to Sligo town centre ensures there are plenty of restaurants and bars available to ring in the New Year.

Langtons is practically an institution in Kilkenny! Location in the heart of the city, with a lively bay and friendly service, this is a great hotel to ring in the New Year.

I recall spending many a night in the Burlington Hotel. The annual Irish Travel Trade Awards are hosted there every year – it brings back great memories! I can think of nothing better than checking in for the night and enjoying a nice meal in the Sussex restaurant, or light bites in the lobby lounge.
8. Montenotte Hotel, Cork: Twin Room €153pp
I have heard so many great things about the Montenotte Hotel, which has been recently refurbished and and offers stunning views of Cork city. With a leisure centre, in-house cinema and a stylish new rooftop bar and terrace, it is the place to be seen in Cork. The Bellevue boutique city spa offers a wide variety of treatment options as well as a relaxation room.
9. Sheraton Athlone, Westmeath: €133pp
