2. Laois: Glamping Under The Stars, 3 Nights €450

Located just an hour from Dublin, this award-winning glamping site is offering 3 Nights for the price of 2 on selected stays over Easter holidays.

I had the pleasure of visiting Glamping under the Stars this Summer and loved staying in these cute hobbit houses. As well as a unique family holiday in Ireland, they are so well equipped that they offer the best of both worlds – a back to nature escape with all the modern comforts of home.

The hobbit houses sleep up to six and have curved ceilings grass roofs, and some have ensuite bathrooms too. The communal ‘Glamp House’ has a kitchen & dining area with a barbecue deck, campfire area, and proper bathrooms. There is also a children’s playhouse, sandpit and fairyhouse.

3. Kildare: Kilashee Hotel, 2 Nights B&B from €450

The newly refurbished 4-star Kilashee Hotel is situated on a 55 acre estate with fairy forest trail, Butterfly Garden, and a playground with a zipline. The leisure centre boasts a 25 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as a children’s pool.

The hotel also has a playroom filled with toys and board games, and a family movie night will show different classic children’s movie each night over the Easter break.

4. Antrim: Further Space Glamping Pods Glenarm, Causeway Coast: 2 Nights from €398

Luxury glamping company Further Space has fabulous glamping pods in the grounds of Glenarm Castle on the Causeway Coastal Route. If that isn’t enough to tempt you, they also have the advantage of having stunning sea views.

As well as a wonderful location, you have the added benefits of the facilities on the Castle’s grounds, including a walled garden, Shop, and a choice of dining options. Children will enjoy the Mini Land Rover Experience and being able to toast marshmallows on your own camp fire.

Set on beautiful grounds and within walking distance of Sligo Town centre, the 4-star Clayton Sligo ticks all boxes for a family holiday in Ireland. The leisure centre has a separate kids pool, and two bedroom family suites sleep two adults and three children. We enjoyed a family stay here last year and loved exploring Sligo’s coastline.

Located in Ballsbridge, just about 30 minutes walk from the city centre, Broc House offers superb value for a family stay in Dublin. The self-catering holiday apartments are modern with floor-to-ceiling windows and there is a communal roof terrace with views over the city.

10. Waterford: Fitzwilton Hotel, 2 Nights, €370

11. Mayo: Breaffy House Resort, Family Room, 2 Nights, €388

12. Kerry: Dingle Skellig Hotel, Family Room, 2 Nights, €432

Kerry, Wild Atlantic Way

The Dingle Skellig Hotel is superbly situated overlooking Dingle Bay. The hotel also has a leisure club, swimming pool, spa, and outdoor hot tub – so if you just want to relax, you can do that too! Rated excellent on TripAdvisor, this is one of the most popular places to stay on the Wild Atlantic Way.
