1. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam needs no introduction. The city where anything goes, also happens to have some of Europe’s best night life. However, there is more to Amsterdam’s night life than the Red Light District. Take a trip along the canals and discover some cool cafés and night spots off the beaten track. You can even stay on a boat. Check out the Amstel Botelfor an inexpensive and unique experience.
2. Oktoberfest, Munich
Oktoberfest is all about crazy nights, and crazy days! Over 6 million people visit Munich for a two week beer drinking festival. All of the German beer served is brewed locally, so if you like nice beer and a party atmosphere, look no further.
3. Barcelona, Spain
Chill out on the beach during the day, take in a football match at the Nou Camp, and enjoy some cracking night life – Barcelona is a great city that and ideal for holidays for boys . If you don’t want crazy nights, there are plenty of cool places off the Ramblas to enjoy tasty tapas and a bottle of Rioja.
4. 6 Nations Rugby Tours / Premier League Football Trips
A sports trip is easy option for a night or weekend away, and there are so many cities to choose from. Liverpool, London and Manchester are the most popular football spots, while Edinburgh, Paris and Rome are great options for a rugby weekend.
5. Beach holiday
There are so many great beach holidays for boys, but your age will probably have a big influence on the destination you choose. The Algarve, South of France and Croatia are great choices if you want to enjoy some beach time with fine food and wine, while the lively Spanish resorts along the Costa del Sol and the Balearic Islands are ideal for a younger age group.
Magaluf is one of Spain’s liveliest beach resorts and is the most popular with school leavers and students, many of which are venturing abroad on their own for the first time. Most of the hotels have the hottest live bands and DJ’s playing during the summer, with foam parties going on till sunrise. Check out the adults-only BH Mallorca, which has an over 18’s water park and an open air festival all summer.
The ultimate trip for students, Thailand is a must visit for a mix of fun, sun and culture. Spend a few nights in Bangkok, go north for a real adventure in Chang Mai, and make sure you are there to experience a full moon party on Koh Phangan.
7. Skiing holiday
For lads who want an action-packed week away, a skiing holiday is a great choice. Get some ski races in during the day and enjoy the great aprés ski bars at night time. Places like the legendary La Folie Deuce in Val Thorens are worth checking out.
8. Las Vegas, USA
Whether it’s your stag, mid life crisis, or you just fancy a big blow out – Vegas is the place to go! Take in a boxing match, splash some cash at the casinos, or check out the pool parties at the Hard Rock Hotel! Don’t forget the obligatory helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, and not that I am recommending it, but a trip to the shooting range is usually a popular day out too.

9. Abu Dhabi
If you fancy some fast cars with a little culture thrown in, check out Abu Dhabi. If you can travel in November, try to go to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. If that’s not an option, stay in the luxurious W Abu Dhabi Hotel that over looks the track, and take a spin in a Ferrari at Ferrari Land, which is only minutes away.
10. Golf Trip
Golf trips are proving to be one of the most popular holidays for boys. The Costa del Sol or the Algarve are ideal destinations to choose as there are plenty flight options for a weekend or week long trip. There are numerous resorts to choose from, with golf courses dotted all the way along the coast line, and both offer plenty of great dining options and nightlife too.
