I visited the Gdańsk Christmas market back in 2022, and it quickly became one of my favourite affordable European destinations. Set on the Baltic coast, the city combines a beautiful Old Town with fascinating history and lively festive celebrations. Its markets were even voted the best in Europe last year, with stalls, decorations, and entertainment spread across the city.

The Gdansk Christmas markets will open on the 20th of November 2026 and will run until the 23rd of December 2026. See more here.

Depart Dublin on Friday the 11th of December and return on Sunday the 13th enjoying 2 nights in the city of Gdansk. Flight times are great so you’ll have nearly 3 days to explore the gorgeous Christmas markets and any surrounding attractions.

Or if you fancy 3 nights depart on Thursday the 10th of December instead and enjoy an extra night as the flights are the exact same price.
