Whether you fancy a family break, or a catch up with friends, I’ve got 10 self catering breaks in July and August to suit you. All have received good reviews from previous guests, and have flexible booking options.

If you have been following me for a while you will know I fell in love with Mayo’s stunning coastline a few years ago, and this two-bedroom apartment is ideally located to explore it.

9. Assaroe Falls, Donegal: 2 bedroom apartment: €540
Assaroe Falls is located just over 2km from the Lakeside Centre and just over 5km from the gorgeous beach at Rossnowlagh. It features river views, free WiFi and free private parking.
10. Castle Oaks House Hotel, 2-bedroom Courtyard Apartment with pool access, Limerick: €813
Set in 26 acres of grounds, and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Shannon, this Georgian Manor House Hotel is a great choice for self catering breaks in Ireland.
