Scratch one off your bucket list with these Santorini holidays from Dublin – prices from €329 for five nights!
Santorini is one of the world’s top holiday destinations, and I had the pleasure of visiting recently. Those picture perfect white villages do exist and are even more stunning when you see them first hand! However, July or August is not the best time to see them! These amazing Santorini holidays in October should allow you to explore this beautiful island without the crowds that are there during the peak summer months.

Aer Lingus and Ryanair are both flying direct from Dublin to Santorini this year and there are great value airfares available, especially if you can travel off peak. I found return flights from €275 over the October bank holiday weekend.
I chose five-night Santorini holidays over the October bank holiday weekend, which should give you ample time to explore this small island. However, if you prefer to travel on other dates or stay for seven or ten nights, simply edit the dates via the links below to suit your requirements.
The island is quite small, so if you choose to stay on the beach side, you will never be longer than 30 minutes bus ride from the stunning villages of Oia, Imerovigli and Fira. Most of the beach resorts have plenty of life, and the restaurants and bars offer better value for money.

I often see luxury hotels being advertised, but it is also possible to book Santorini holidays on a budget – there are plenty of three and four-star hotel options to choose from that receive great reviews from previous guests. It is also easy to travel around the island, either by booking excursions or hiring a car.
I found a great deal in the highly rated Acqua Vatos Santorini Hotel in the lively resort of Kamari, close to its famous Black Beach. It boasts a large pool with snack bar, a chill-out lounge bar for evening drinks, and contemporary decor throughout.
Rated as Excellent on TripAdvisor, this is great value for Santorini holidays – price per room is €129 per person for a five-night stay including breakfast! Want to bring the kids along? A two-bedroom family suite is just €586 for five nights.
If you prefer to stay in Oia or Fira, there is value there too. The popular Oias Sunset are €317pp for a five-night stay. For a five-star experience, check out the De Sol Hotel & Spa in Fira. This is priced at just €464 per person for a five-night stay including breakfast.

Imerovigli would be my resort of choice if I was to return. It has the picture perfect white-washed village complete with stunning hill top views, but doesn’t have the crowds to go with it. Imerovigli is a much quieter resort than Oia, Fira or Kamari but Fira is just 10 minutes away by taxi.
The stunning 5-star Cresanto Luxury Suites are €492 per person for a five-night stay in a Junior Suite with plunge pool and breakfast.

For the ultimate friends getaway, why not book a villa with a heated private pool and hot tub? The Katharos Pool Villas offer stunning views of the Aegean Sea and those all important sunsets, and are located in the fashionable resort of Oia.
Price for a five-night stay, based on four sharing is €516 per person.

If this date or hotels don’t suit you simply edit the dates on the links below – three, seven and ten-night stays are also possible. There are many other accommodation options to choose from including cave hotels and luxury hotels in this post:
