I found flights from Dublin to Verona on the 24th of October for just €184pp for seven nights! This is about 30 minute drive from Lake Garda which can be reached by transfer or car.
There are many different resorts to choose from but Peschiera is one of the most popular resorts for a family holiday in Lake Garda. It is located in the southern end of the lake within easy reach of Sirmione and Gardaland.
While hot weather can never be guaranteed, the average temperatures during the same week last year was a balmy 20 degrees – see historical weather here.

The pools usually close in mid-September but closure may be extended if good weather – last year one pool remained open for the first half of the week.
