Seychelles Holidays – The Best Places To Stay for Couples, Families and Groups

Seychelles beaches

Luxury hotels, villas with private pools, beachfront apartments and super family resorts – I’ve got Seychelles holidays for couples, families and groups.

If you are anything like me, you are probably longing for an escape to a paradise island with white sands and turquoise waters. Although right now it may seem like far-fetched dream, Seychelles holidays might be possible sooner than you think. The Seychelles is set to become one of the first countries in the world to welcome non-vaccinated tourists.

By mid-March, once the majority of their adult population is vaccinated, the government announced they will open up the country to ALL visitors (with proof of a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to travel). Once our own travel restrictions ease, I can’t imagine a more idyllic escape.

Paradise Islands in the Seychells.

The Seychelles is made up of 115 islands, boasting a lush tropical backdrop and some of the best beaches in the world – including the famous Anse Source d’Argent beach with its towering granite boulders.

However, as well as luxury five-star resorts, there are some great value three and four-star hotels, as well as some unique Airbnbs to choose from. So, whether you are planning a luxury beach stay, a fun-filled family getaway, or a romantic private pool villa, I’ve got plenty of Seychelles holidays to suit all tastes and budgets.

These Seychelles holidays include my affiliate links – where I receive a small commission if a booking is made, but at no additional cost to you.

Top 10 Indian Ocean Holidays for 2017

The Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka and Zanzibar.  Some of the world’s most stunning destinations are all so close together. Check out my top 10 Indian Ocean holidays and tick one off your bucket list!

Expect breath-taking beaches, underwater paradises and year round shine. All of the islands are competing for the luxury market, honeymoons and special occasion holidays. The result is deluxe hotels, supreme service and unforgettable experiences available throughout. The islands of the Indian Ocean don’t only offer sun and sand, there are also cultural experiences waiting to be discovered. And for those who want a little more adventure, why not combine with South Africa, Tanzania or Dubai. But which islands to choose and where to stay? Here are my top 10 Indian Ocean holidays…

Maldives are the islands associated with barefoot luxury, over water bungalows and incredible diving and snorkeling. There are almost  twelve hundred islands but only 200 are inhabited and of those 200, only 105 are island resorts. Hotels in the Maldives are breaking the boundaries here with underwater restaurants, outdoor showers, and water villas with glass floors so you can see the tropical fish at any time. Some resorts offer private islands for honeymooners so you can literally have an island all to yourself.  These luxuries can come with a hefty price tag but more and more hotels are offering all-inclusive packages so once you arrive, you will need no spending money. If you are looking for some action at the beginning or end of your trip, combine this with a few days in Dubai.

The islands have a tropical appearance, yet receive little rainfall.  You will discover small cove beaches beside what looks like jungle terrain. Try some scuba diving, interact with their giant tortoises or just snorkel at the waters edge, the choice is yours. If you fancy a bit of life, take a trip to Victoria, the capital. Enjoy some lively bars and restaurants or wander through their bustling indoor market.

Sarah Slattery, The Travel Expert talks about honeymoon destinationsA trip to the Seychelles is normally a bucket list trip, but it is surprisingly affordable at the moment.
