Scratch one off the bucket list – check out this super Santorini holiday and get planning for next Summer.
Santorini is undoubtedly one of top places to visit in the world, so I was delighted when Aer Lingus announced they were going to start flying direct from Dublin airport next year. Wouldn’t a Santorini holiday be the ultimate dream after the year we have had?
I love Aer Lingus’ flexible booking options, so if you do decide to book now, you know that you can change your flights as many times as you like up to 31st May. And, if you opt for their Plus or Advantage fares, you can cancel and avail of a refund voucher that is valid for five years.
This gives great peace of mind in these uncertain times. You can book a Santorini holiday now, have something to look forward to, and know that if the need arises, you can change your booking without penalty.

Santorini is still on my own bucket list – I can’t wait to visit, but I want to spend a week there, and not simply get a glimpse from a cruise ship visit. The picture postcard villages of Oia and Fira have to be one of the best places in the world to watch the sunset – and this is only possible if you book a Santorini holiday.
The island is quite small, so if you choose to stay on the beach side, you will never be longer than 30 minutes bus ride from the stunning villages of Oia, Imerovigli and Fira. The beach resorts have plenty of life, and the restaurants and bars offer better value for money.
I often see luxury hotels with private pools being advertised, but it is also possible to book a Santorini holiday on a budget – there are plenty of three and four-star hotel options to choose from.
I found a great deal in the hugely popular Anemoessa Villa in Finikia. This family-run hotel is built in typical Santorini style with traditional furnishings, and a homemade breakfast is included in the price of your stay.
Its location offers panoramic views over the sea and it is just 1km from the picture perfect town of Oia. The Anemoessa Villa receives excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, is ideal for couples, and is great value for such a highly rated accommodation in a prime location.
Fly from Dublin to Thira on the 15th of September and enjoy a seven-night Santorini Holiday in this popular villa, with breakfast included, for just €769 per person. Remember you can change your flight booking up to the 31st of May if the need arises, and the hotel offers free cancellation up to the 24th of August, with no pre-payment required.
If this date or hotel doesn’t suit you simply edit the dates on the links below, there are many other flight and accommodation options to choose from.
