There is no doubt the Wild Atlantic Way is one of Ireland’s most popular holiday destinations. As well as being one of the top attractions in the world, it also boasts some of Ireland’s best beaches, and let’s not forget about those gorgeous West of Ireland sunsets! I received many requests for people looking for affordable holiday homes this summer, so I decided to list some Airbnbs on the Wild Atlantic Way that are available to book now.
I will update this post regularly, so when rooms are no longer available, I shall replace them with alternatives. Hopefully this will ensure that this post has plenty of Airbnbs on the Wild Atlantic Way available during school holidays. I have chosen one week slots, but if you wish to stay for longer, or are just looking for a short break, simply edit the dates on the links below to suit your requirements.

1. Four-bedroom Home in Connemara, Galway: €225 per night
This large Airbnb of the Wild Atlantic Way is an old building that has been converted into a four-bedroom home, and offers a large garden, a wood burning stove and superb sea views. Located on the edge of Spiddal Village in Connemara, yet only 30 minutes from Galway city, it offers the best of both worlds.
2. The Gables, four-bedroom house, Donegal: €150 per night
This modern home is a great choice for a holiday on the Wild Atlantic Way. As well as being well equipped with a sun room, garden and a 50″ TV with Netflix, it is just five minutes walk to the village of Laghy.
This village has a choice of restaurants, as well as pubs offering traditional music, while Donegal town and the local beach are just five minutes drive away. The famous Rossnowlagh beach is just a ten minute drive away, as are some of Donegal’s top luxury hotels.
3. Two-bedroom Doolin Townhouse, Clare: €296 per night
A modern townhouse, beside the traditional Irish town of Doolin, with the Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch beach close by, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Wild Atlantic Way. With bright contemporary decor, a jacuzzi bath, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, its design is sure to please.
This is an Airbnb ‘Plus’ home, meaning you will find a home that is full of character with one-of-a-kind details, exceptional hospitality, fully equipped kitchens and fast WiFi.
4. Inch Beach House, three-bedroom cottage, Kerry: €270 per night
Overlooking of the best beaches in Ireland, this delightful cottage has all the modern conveniences, without loosing its traditional charm. You will be located only steps away from Inch Beach and its wide selection of water sports, and just a short drive from Dingle town. If a beach holiday on the Wild Atlantic Way is what you seek, then this should tick all boxes.
5. Doonbeg, two-bedroom Beach Cottage, Clare: €189 per night
Located just 500 meters from the magnificent Doughmore Beach and adjacent to Doonbeg International Golf Club & Resort, this cottage is the ideal choice if you want to mix beach time with a little golf thrown in. Its central location on the Wild Atlantic Way means you can explore the Cliffs of Moher, the Loop Head Peninsula, and the Burren, all within an hours drive.
This stylish cottage has two bedrooms and an open plan living area with sliding doors that lead out to a garden with BBQ and sun loungers.

6. Skellig Rest, two-bedroom Cottage, Dingle, Kerry: Limited availability, €140 per night
Skellig Rest is a beautiful 100 year old cottage, that offers stunning views of the Skellig Rocks. Located between Waterville and Caherdaniel and just 5km from Derrynane beach, it is not surprising that it is listed as one of the top Airbnbs in Ireland. The Kerry Way walking trail is at the end of the garden, and you can enjoy sunset views from your own private hot tub or garden hammock.
As well as superb facilities including a hot tub and sauna, you will find Skellig Rest equipped with robes and slippers, a telescope and binoculars, perfect for star gazing at Kerry’s International Dark Sky Reserve.
7. The Boathouse, Baltimore, four-bedroom home with pool access, Cork: €468 per night
The Boat House location in West Cork is idyllic. This four-bedroomed house is one of ten properties on an island estate, reached by a stone bridge. It is ideal for a large family, or if there are a group of families or friends who wish to travel together, you can rent more of the properties on Inis Beg estate.
It is also located close to Baltimore and Skibbereen, so if you fancy a change of scene, you don’t have too far to go. You will also have access to an indoor heated swimming pool during your stay. The Boat House is included in my post on luxurious Airbnbs in Ireland near the beach.
8. Village haven, Clare, three-bedroom holiday homes on the Wild Atlantic Way
Located in the village of Quilty, with Spanish Point and Miltown Malbay close by, this holiday home on the Wild Atlantic Way has the benefit of being close to shops, bars and restaurants, but also offers stunning sea views. The sun lounge is the perfect place to enjoy the views, while the kids play happily in the garden.
With the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Bunratty Castle all close by, the possibilities for day trips are endless.
9. Dugort cliff edge two-bedroom cottage, Mayo: €110 per night
Perched on the edge of a cliff, this two-bedroom cosy cottage overlooks the Blue Flag Dugort beach in Achill Island. If you are looking for a seaside retreat in a traditional Irish cottage, I think I have found it.
10. Seaside three-bedroom home in Leitrim, close to the Donegal town of Bundoran: €103 per night
Although located just a few minutes drive from Bundoran in Donegal, this holiday home is actually located in Leitrim. Leitrim has Ireland’s shortest coastline at just 2.4km, and this home is located right beside the sea.
Bundoran is one of Donegal’s busiest sea side towns, but this offers you all the benefits of being close by, without the busy crowds. A small local bar is within walking distance, the famous Glencar Waterfall is just a fifteen minute drive away. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit some of Europe’s largest sea cliffs, the Slieve League Cliffs.
11. The Pier House, 3-bedroom cottage, Loop Head, Clare: €212 per night
Pier House is arguably ‘the nearest house to New York’, so if are looking for a holiday home on the Wild Atlantic Way, it doesn’t get much wilder than this! With its own beach, rock pools and a garden, it is an ideal house for families. There is a playground and pub / restaurant just 150 metres away, and it is located beside the harbour so a fishing trip is a must.
The lounge has panoramic views across the bay and the open fire creates a cosy atmosphere. Its eclectic design has ceilings resembling an upturned boat, floors with ancient slate flags, a high-pitched ceiling with fisherman lantern lights, and two vintage leather club chairs that look like the perfect place to relax.
Did I mention the garden is purposely left wild with meadow flowers? – This place is now going on my own wish list!
12. Five-bedroom log cabin, Kinsale, Cork: €589 per night
This five-bedroom log cabin offers superb sea views and is located just ten minutes drive from Kinsale. This will house up to 11 guests, so it is ideal for an extended family or group of friends. There is a large garden, a balcony with views towards the Old Head of Kinsale, an office and a home gym.
There is a small beach at the end of the road which is ideal for canoeing, and there are plenty of sandy beaches a short drive away.
13. Seashelter, two-bedroom cottage, Clare: €151 per night
Seashelter’s colourful cottage offers stunning views over the Wild Atlantic Way, as well as a hot tub, wood burning sauna and a wonderful garden that children will love. There are swings, slides, a trampoline and goal post as well as a new toddlers area.
There is also a conservatory with comfy sofas if you just want to chill out want watch the waves. However if you fancy a change of scene, the town of Milton Malbay which has a selection of shops, restaurants and traditional music pubs, is just 3km away.
14. Seashore, two-bedroom Cottage on Galway Bay: €117 per night
This two-bedroom cottage is superb value during July and August. It is located just two miles from Oranmore village, with Galway City, Connemara and the Burren all easily reached by car.
15. Two-bedroom Crones Cottage, Rossbeigh, Kerry: €116 per night
This charming cottage overlooks the famous Blue Flag Rossbeigh beach, near the beautiful village of Glenbeigh on the Kerry Way. The reviews from previous guests are excellent, with many loving its beachfront location and stunning views. I recall walking along Rossbeigh beach with my Mum a few years ago and loved it.
16. Malin View, four-bedroom home, Donegal: €122 per night
This large four-bedroom house is located just ten minutes from Ireland’s most northerly point, Malin Head. It offers stunning views of Trawbegga Bay and Isle of Doagh, and is less than two minutes to the beach.
The patio area is ideal for barbecuing, and outside seating in the large garden ensures you can enjoy the views all day long. Pets are also welcome.
17. The Coach House, two-bedroom apartments with private sea access, Westport: €171 per night
This unique Coach House has two luxurious two bedroom apartments that can be rented together or separately. With panoramic views over Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick, as well as private sea access, these are the holy grail of apartments on the Wild Atlantic Way.
The original stone coachhouse is beautifully furnished and both apartments can sleep up to six people. Guests have their own private access to the shore, and with an outhouse available for storage, it is an ideal choice if you wish to bring kayaks, SUP boards and wetsuits.

18. Wild Atlantic two-bedroom Cottage, Sligo: €80 per night
Situated in the seaside town of Enniscrone, this spacious holiday home is the perfect balance of a traditional Irish cottage with a modern twist. Located just 3km from one of Ireland’s best beaches and the town of Enniscrone, this is a super choice to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.
19. Seaview two-bedroom cottage, Galway: €94 per night
This recently renovated three-bedroom cottage overlooks the Wild Atlantic Way, and is just 1km from sandy beaches and the village of Tullycross. There is a large garden with a patio area and gas barbeque – perfect for some al fresco summer dining, and the Connemara Coast is on your doorstep should you wish to go exploring.
20. Luxury four-bedroom house, Newport, May0: €162 per night
This newly built home is located just 800 metres from the famous Great Western Greenway and within 5km of three beautiful sandy beaches. Bicycles are available to rent in the nearby village of Mulranny, and you can cycle all the way to Westport and Achill Island if you wish. Nevins gastro pub and restaurant is just a six minute walk from house, and the popular.Mulranny Hotel is the same distance by car.
