The Algarve is a popular choice for Wellness holidays. There are 100 beaches stretching over 150 km of coastline as well as a wide choice of accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets.

The highly rated Vale d’ El Rei Hotel & Villas is superbly priced at just €344 per person for a seven-night stay including breakfast. Located on the outskirts of Carvoeiro, surrounded by vineyards, this 4-Star hotel boasts a Spa, two pools and a tennis court.

Alternatively chose the relatively new (opened in 2019) 5-Star adult-only Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel which offers a wide selection of health and wellness holiday programmes on-site.

3 All Inclusive Celebrity Cruise Offers – Prices from €1890 Incl Flights, Gratuities & More!

Visit the ancient cities of Athens or Dubrovnik, the stunning islands of Santorini or Corsica, or lesser known gems such as Portofino or Kotor, on a five-star luxury cruise. These amazing Celebrity Cruise offers are the perfect way to explore some of the Europe’s most iconic locations, while experiencing modern luxury on Celebrity’s Edge Class ships.

I had the pleasure of cruising on Celebrity Beyond last year and was blown away by its beauty, style and class. Celebrity Beyond is the newest and biggest member of Celebrity Edge Class ships, but its sisters, Edge and Apex are similar in both style and facilities.

Despite being a five-star luxury cruise ship, Celebrity Beyond never felt formal or stuffy. There is no formal dress code for dinner, and there are four main dining rooms – a big change from the traditional large dining room on luxury cruise ships. This gives the impression that you are dining in a speciality restaurant every night – but don’t have to pay for the privilege.

However, if you fancy more elevated dining, you can have that too – there are 8 speciality dining restaurants on board. Food lovers such not miss the opportunity to dine on the Magic Carpet. This is the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform that moves between decks along the exterior of the ship – it takes takes al-fresco dining to the next level, as well being an ideal location for pre-dinner cocktails.

There is some great nightlife on board too, with a host of theatre performances, as well as 14 cafés, bars and lounges, live music, a nightclub and casino. And, with a classic drinks package included in all of these Celebrity Cruise offers, you can sample as many cocktails as you like, without worrying about your bar bill at the end of your cruise.

Celebrity Edge Eden Lounge
The Eden Lounge

There is a huge focus on Wellness on board too. There is a choice of fitness classes available including F45, as well as a large gym, luxury Spa with Thermal Suite, a Solarium with an adult-only indoor pool, and a large lap pool with hot tubs on the main deck.

celebrity cruise offers from Ireland on Celebrity Edge Class ships

Celebrity Beyond felt more like a snazzy country club than a large cruise ship – even though it can accommodate over 3000 guests. In true Celebrity Cruise style there are no dark furnishings or excessively ornate accessories, but soft natural fabrics and light-coloured floorings instead. The bright modern decor is elegant and sophisticated, and there was so many fabulous outdoor spaces, including a roof top garden and a real grass lawn.

I have three Celebrity Cruise offers listed below, all of which include flights, drinks, basic WiFi, gratuities, on-board credit and more! Airfares have risen considerably during the summer months, so to have flights included in the cost is a massive bonus, along with airport transfers, checked baggage and seat selection too!

The Classic Drinks package includes a large range of brand-name beers, Prosecco, cocktails, premium spirits and wine up to $9 per glass, as well as branded soft drinks, bottled water, speciality teas and coffees, and 20% discount on bottles of wine. This is normally priced at $59 per day when not included in current campaign.

Matera in Italy is one of the most fascinating cities that I have ever visited. Located in Basilicata, it is easily reached from Bari airport and is also an ideal location if you want to explore neighbouring Puglia. It is not always easy to find accommodation in the heart of the old town of Matera, or Sassi as it is more commonly known, so you need to make sure to book well in advance.

I found cheap return flights to Bari with Ryanair on the 14th of October, and accommodation in the highly rated Il Belvedere Hotel for just €310 in total, including breakfast! Rated as Excellent on TripAdvisor and the 2nd best place hotel to stay in Matera, this is amazing value for such a stunning location.

Top 10 Cruise Deals With Norwegian Cruise Line

cruise-ship-3808988_1280-compressor

From the Med to Mexico, Croatia to the Cayman Islands, I’ve got 10 great cruise deals with Norwegian Cruise Line to tempt you. Almost all deals include flights and a choice of any two packages from premium drinks, speciality dining, Wifi package or shore excursion credit!

I was lucky to be invited on Norwegian Encore’s inaugural cruise from Germany to Southhampton recently. It was only a two-night cruise but I managed to fit a lot in! I raced a go-kart around the largest race-track at sea, got chased by dinosaurs in the massive virtual reality room, watched Kinky Boots and A Choir of Man in the theatre, and enjoyed a wonderful array of food in various dining outlets.

Norwegian’s ‘free style cruising’ means you can leave your dinner jackets and cocktail dresses at home. Everything on board is relaxed and you can dine whenever and wherever you like. If you want to dress up and enjoy a four-course meal in the main dining room – you can. If you fancy casual dress with pizza and beer, that’s cool too. You don’t have to sit with strangers or dine at 8pm, there are dining options available 24/7.

We ate in the complimentary restaurants the whole time, and I was really impressed with the quality of the food and variety available – I can only imagine how good the speciality restaurants are! With the choice to opt for the premium drinks package and three speciality dining restaurants for just €99, Norwegian Cruise Line offer some of the best value cruise deals from Ireland.

top cruise deals

Norwegian’s Free at Sea promotion allows you to choose any two of the following packages, over a seven-night cruise, for just €99 per adult:

  • Premium drinks
  • WiFi
  • 3 speciality dining meals
  • Shore excursion credit

I will be writing a full review of Norwegian Encore in due course, but I had some many requests for prices that I thought I would publish my top 10 cruise deals with Norwegian Cruise Line first.

You can choose to cruise from Southampton to New York and fly home direct to Dublin, or vice versa. Both have their advantages! As I have already mentioned, cruising into New York will surely be an incredible experience, however, if you choose to leave the cruise until your return journey, you won’t have to endure a tiresome over-night flight home. Both options include direct flights to or from New York and flights to and from Southampton, a three-night stay in a 4-star hotel, entrance tickets to the Empire State Building and airport transfers.

What is it like to cruise on the Queen Mary 2?

The Queen Mary 2 is Cunard’s flagship cruise-liner and it was re-mastered in 2016, with a staggering £90 million makeover. She has all the glitz and glamour associated with traditional cruising, but now has contemporary styling too. Expect fine dining, the best wine cellar at sea, exceptional service and sophisticated shopping.

There are five main dining options onboard, all included in the cost of your cruise, as well as two speciality restaurants, which incur a charge. Of course, no Cunard cruise would be complete without their signature afternoon tea, which incidentally is included in the price of your cruise.

Entertainment is what you would expect from Cunard – world class. From West-End-style shows in the grand Royal Court Theatre, to string quartets in intimate bars, the choice is yours. The Queen Mary 2 has a full-scale planetarium, famous speakers giving informative presentations, the largest library at sea and a luxury spa. This really is cruising at another level.

So why not treat yourself or a loved one to this amazing cruise holiday? With flights, hotel, cruise and transfers included in the cost, this Queen Mary 2 cruise deal, should not be missed!
