5-Star All Inclusive Deal to the Dominican Republic, 1 week, 1st February 2020, €1427!

all inclusive resorts

800 miles of Caribbean coastline, year round sunshine, picture postcard beaches, and tropical rainforests. Why not swap the Canary Islands for the Caribbean next winter, and grab this all inclusive deal to the Dominican Republic.

Filled with luxury resorts and white sandy beaches, Punta Cana is the most popular resort in the Dominican Republic. Water sports are plentiful – try diving, snorkelling or enjoy a sunset cruise. The island’s interior is filled with tropical rainforests and lush mountains and is definitely worth exploring.

However, most of the hotels are all-inclusive, so many people tend to stay put and enjoy the onsite facilities. If you take a stroll along the beaches in Punta Cana you will discover the cutest beach houses selling local handcrafts and gifts.

all inclusive deal to the Dominican Republic

There are countless accommodation offerings, but I couldn’t resist the value at the Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana. For less than €1000, you can enjoy a week’s stay with flights, all meals and drinks included! Located less than 30 minutes from the airport, you can hop in a taxi or book a return private transfer in advance for just €16 per person.

Located on the superb Bávaro Beach, the hardest decision you will have to make is whether to spend the day at the beach, or in one of its two lake-style pools. Other facilities include a gym, spa, multi-sports courts and a water activity centre offering a wide selection of water sports. Paddle surf, kayaks, tennis, catamarans and snorkeling are all included in the all-inclusive arrangement for one hour per day, subject to availability.

all inclusive deal to dominican republic

There are six different restaurants and four bars to choose from, as well as a disco on site. The all-inclusive arrangement includes drinks in the nightclub too! The hotel is also great for families, with kids clubs, a children’s water park, baby station and teen clubs available.

The Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana has two sister hotels close by, the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro and Grand Bahia Principe Turquesa, and you are welcome to use all the facilities in all three hotels, except the buffet restaurants.

Fly from Dublin to Punta Cana on the 1st of February and enjoy a seven night stay in the Bahia Principe Grand Hotel for just €1427. I have chosen flights via Paris with Air France as the layover time is only circa two hours. There are many hotel options when you click on the link below. At the time of issue the best all-inclusive rate is €238 per room per night.

12 Top Waterpark Holidays in Europe for Families

Check out some of the top waterpark holidays in Europe and give the kids a Summer holiday to remember!

I’m guessing if you asked your children to name one thing they love about Summer holidays, they will say the swimming pool. Don’t get me wrong, kids clubs and organised entertainment are great too, but most kids want to be in the water the whole time. Waterpark holidays guarantee lots of pool time and are the perfect choice for a family holiday.

This post includes TUI’s Splashworld resorts, which are all-inclusive resorts with unlimited access to a waterpark, either on site, or nearby. I have also listed some independent hotels with waterparks on site. Whether you want to relax on a lazy river, jump over the waves in a wave pool, or race your family members on speed slides, I have something here to suit kids of all ages.

All of my picks below have a minimum 4-star rating on TripAdvisor, and are ideal for family holidays. Another added bonus is that many of the waterpark holidays below are package holidays and include flights, accommodation, transfers and checked baggage.

Costa del Sol: All Inclusive 4-Star Globales Playa Estepona

waterpark holidays in Costa del Sol

As well as a brand new waterpark on site, the highly rated Globales Playa Estepona has numerous sports activities, kids clubs, day and night time entertainment and even has its own beach club restaurant. The waterpark has a space bowl, tube slides, body slides, a multilane number and a kamikaze slide – all are suitable for children 120cm and over.

Younger children have their own spray park and mini slides in a pirate-themed area. The hotel is situated close to glitzy Puerto Banus and offers a shuttle bus service 2-3 times per day into the centre.

Tenerife: All Inclusive Parque Cristobal & Siam Park

Siam Park water park, Tenerife

One of the main reasons families flock to Tenerife each year is to visit one of the world’s best water parks – Siam Park. There is a wide choice of slides here for kids of all ages.

The Tower of Power and The Dragon will keep adrenaline junkies happy, while the Mhai Tai River and the huge wave pool, are great for all the family. Younger kids will love the Lost City – a fortress teeming with bridges, waterfalls, tipping buckets and 9 slides!

This Splashworld holiday includes unlimited access to Siam Park, while staying at the Parque Cristobal apartments in Playa de Las Americas. This is a great choice for families looking for good accommodation in the heart of the action, but have the added benefit of theme park access.

There is entertainment and kids clubs on site, and the spacious bungalows come with kitchenettes, free Wi-Fi, hairdryers and even the premier rooms include bathrobes and slippers.

Corfu: 3-Star Sidari Water Park Hotel, Half Board

Note most of the other properties on this list, this is sold on a B&B or Half Board basis only.

A luxurious and fun filled holiday awaits the whole family at the Atlantica Aegean Blue with plenty of activities for all ages.  Portugal: 4-star Aquashow Park Hotel

family holidays at Aquashow Hotel and waterpark

The Aquashow Park Hotel offers the usual facilities you would expect from top family hotels in the Algarve – outdoor pool with two mini-slides, games rooms, playground and restaurant, however, without question, it is the free entrance to the water park that is the main feature for your stay here.

Aquashow is not only one of the Algarve’s largest water parks, but it also boasts the largest Water Rollercoaster in Europe and Portugal’s largest wave pool. Little ones are not left out either – the Aquakids section is specifically tailored to smaller children. There is a huge selection of slides, attractions and shows to choose from that will suit everyone in the family.

Family hotel rooms are interconnecting rooms with four beds. Another option to consider would be a few nights at Aquashow Park Hotel combined with a stay further along the Algarve coast. This property is sold independently so add on flights from your chosen airport to the hotel prices below.

4* All-Inclusive Family Holiday, Algarve, 8th July, 2ad & 2ch from €2799 Inc Flights, Baggage & Transfers!

Take the kids to the Algarve next Summer. I have stayed in the pretty resort of Alvor a few times and loved it! Check out this all inclusive family holiday to the highly rated Alvor Baia apartments.

falcon holidays

Alvor’s white sandy beach is four miles long and personally one of my favourites in the Algarve.  My kids loved it too, they played in the many rock pools and went crab hunting which occupied them for hours! There are great beach bars that cater so well for families as well as the fantastic choice you will find in the old town of Alvor. Unlike most of its neighbouring resorts, Alvor remains somewhat unspoilt. It’s small town is full of character and is filled with a wide selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The small marina is another alternative if you fancy a change of scene. The beauty of Alvor is that it is nestled between the larger and busier resorts of Praia da Rocha and Lagos so if you fancy a lively night, a short taxi ride and you are there. For more information, read my blog post on Alvor.

I found a great deal staying in the all-inclusive Alvor Baia apartments. These four star apartments are highly rated on tripadvisor, with certificate of excellence and are a great choice for an all inclusive family holiday. Not only have they excellent facilities for families but all meals and drinks are included in the price of your stay. The pool area is huge with plenty of space for sun loungers and the apartments are very spacious too. The children will love the kids club ( open from 10am – 530pm ), kids pool and the large playground as well as the numerous sport facilities on site, including mini football, water polo and dance lessons. In fact there is a daytime activity programme as well as the nightly entertainment programme, including the all important mini disco! Adults are not forgotten with aqua aerobics, aerobics and a spa with sauna, steam room and massages available.

all inclusive family holiday

Unlike many all-inclusive resorts, there is a great choice of food available. Tripadvisor reviewers comment on how good both buffet restaurants as well as the kids buffet are.  There are two bars to choose from, the Grand Bar which opens from 10am to midnight and the pool bar which is open from 10am to 11pm. The bar even serves mocktails for kids!  And if all that hasn’t sold you, there is even free WiFi 🙂 Falcon Holidays have free child places still available throughout July and August but I found the best deal on the 8th of July. Fly direct from Dublin and enjoy a seven night stay for only €2099  based on 2 adults and 1 child or €2799 based on 2 adults and 2 children.  These prices include flights, transfers, checked baggage and accommodation on an all-inclusive basis with NO HIDDEN EXTRAS! Barbados Baby! 1 week Flights & 4 Star Hotel, All Inclusive, €1599!

Barbados is one of my favourite islands in the Caribbean. It has stunning beaches, great night life and so much to see and do, it’s not surprising people come from all over the world to live here. Experience it yourself this summer with a choice of two amazing Barbados deals from

There are so many different nationalities living in Barbados that you feel like you belong as soon as you step off the plane. Everyone speaks English and they even drive on the same side of the road as us! Speaking of which, you can drive around Barbados in a few hours, it’s a lot smaller than you might think. Barbados although perfect for a romantic holiday, offers so much more. The island is full of interesting sights, the night life is excellent and the water-sports are second to none. It is home to some of the best surfing in the Caribbean but if that’s not your thing, you can go swimming with turtles instead! For more info on Barbados read my blog here.

There are two sides to the island that are sold widely from Ireland. The lively South Coast is home to the capital, Bridgetown and is where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet. The West Coast is quieter and offers a calmer more relaxed vibe. This is where the islands top hotels are located on the crystal clear Caribbean Sea.

I found two amazing deals staying in the exclusive West Coast but without the expensive price tag! The ‘adults only‘, 4* Sugar Cane Club is rated number 1 on tripadvisor and receives excellent reviews. It is a steal at only €1,599 per person in May, June, July or August. You will have a specious one bedroom suite, a choice of swimming pools, a gym and a spa to unwind after all the hard work 😉

If you fancy bottomless cocktails,  a choice of dining options, free water sports and plenty of on site entertainment, then the all-inclusive Almond Beach Resort is the one to choose. Also situated on the West Coast, this beach front property is actually next door to Sandy Lane! You just have to pop by for a look – sure it would be rude not to! I stayed here a few years ago and had a fantastic time. It’s a great place to try lots of new activities that you may not normally try, like paddle boarding, kayaking or reef fishing. They even offer glass bottom boat and speedboat rides, and all of these are complimentary!. They have plenty of land activities too including tennis lessons, yoga classes, golf practice range, gym and even beach cricket (well it is Barbados)! There is nightly entertainment and a weekly beach party – the overall vibe here is fun! There are two restaurants on site, (including the one in the pic below) and the all-inclusive package also allows you to dine in the nearby Sugar Cane Club once during your stay.

The Almond Beach Resort is highly rated on tripadvisor and is priced at €2089 per person, including flights, accommodation on an all-inclusive basis and transfers. This price is based on travelling in September or October but there are plenty of other dates available, just check in with the sales team in or click below.
