Actons Hotel Kinsale, Cork
With a yacht-filled harbour, cobbled-stone streets and delightful dining options, it’s not surprising that colourful Kinsale is one of Ireland’s most popular port towns. It was also voted Ireland’s top foodie town last year.
Kinsale’s landmark hotel, Actons, is an excellent place to stay according to TripAdvisor, and I second that! I love Actons’ home from home atmosphere – in fact this embodies what Select Hotels of Ireland is all about. This boutique hotel offers some excellent dining options, as well as a health and leisure club with a gym, a 15-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room.See more here
Dingle Skellig Hotel, Kerry
The Dingle Peninsula is full of exciting places to explore. The Slay Head Drive is probably one of Irealnd’s best coastal drives, with Gallarus Oratory and Coumeenole Beach just some of the highlights. You must also take time to see Fungi, the resident dolphin, and catch some traditional music in one of the many pubs that line Main Street.
The Dingle Skellig Hotel is superbly situated overlooking Dingle Bay and is an ideal choice to explore this beautiful peninsula. The hotel also has a leisure club, swimming pool, spa, and outdoor hot tub – so if you just want to relax, you can do that too! Rated excellent on TripAdvisor, this must be one of the best places to stay in Dingle.

Wyatt Hotel Westport, Mayo
Westport is a delightful town, so much so that you may not want to leave it! However, it is a shame not to explore Mayo’s beautiful coastline. Pay a visit to Achill Island and marvel at Keem Bay. If weather permits, why not cycle there on the Great Western Greenway bike trail?
I have chosen the boutique hotel Wyatt, which is superbly located in the heart of Westport. The Wyatt has a traditional Irish bar, an upmarket brasserie, an award-winning restaurant, and offers access to the 4-star Westport Leisure Park during your stay. It also happens to be Westport’s only Dog Friendly Hotel! Rated as excellent on TripAdvisor, a stay at the Wyatt is sure to please.

Clifden Station House Hotel, Galway
This unique hotel was once an old railway station. It has been beautifully restored and manages to combine the old brick and native oak with modern furnishings. Its location in the upmarket town of Clifden is ideal for anyone who wants shops, bars and restaurants close by, but also wants to get out and about and explore the rugged coastline of Connemara.
Rated as excellent on TripAdvisor, you will also find a spa and leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool. Families are well catered for too, as children under 12 stay free when sharing with adults. There is also a free kids club throughout the school holidays.

The Talbot Hotel Wexford is located right in the heart of Wexford Town and boasts a fully equipped leisure centre and swimming pool. The Talbot Hotel Wexford is part of The Talbot Collection, which also includes Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Oriel House Hotel and the Midleton Park Hotel. It has recently added the luxurious Talbot Suites at Stonebridge to its collection – a super choice for groups or families looking for large apartments in the heart of the city.
There are 73 luxury two- and three-bedroom apartments available, with floor-to-ceiling windows, high gloss fully equipped kitchen, TV’s in all living areas and bedrooms, and all have access to the Talbot Quay Leisure Centre.
