Records are meant to be broken I guess! Harmony of the Seas will no longer be the world’s largest cruise ship – that accolade will soon belong to Royal Caribbean’s newest ship Symphony of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean’s 26th ship in their fleet, Symphony of the Seas will launch in April 2018, with summer sailings around the Mediterranean from Barcelona. Typical itineraries will include stops in Palma, Rome, Naples and Provence. Winter 2018 will see her move to the Caribbean featuring exotic ports of call such as St Kitts & Nevis and the Cayman Islands.
Facilities will be similar to her sister ship, Harmony of the Seas and will include seven neighbourhoods, robotic bartenders, an aquatheatre, top class shows, water slides and the Ultimate Abyss – the tallest slide at sea. It will carry a staggering 6,780 guests and over 2,000 crew. For more information on what to expect on Symphony of the Seas, read about my review of Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas.
