A visit to the capital is always a good idea, and these Dublin hotel deals are ideal for an overnight escape. Shop till you drop, visit one of Dublin’s many attractions, or get a few friends together and plan a night out – its cheaper than getting a taxi home in some cases!
I have priced all Dublin hotel deals for overnight stays on selected dates in September, however, if the dates I have chosen don’t suit you, simply edit the dates to suit your requirements.
1. Marlin Hotel, St Stephens Green: €99pp
If you are looking for great value in a super location in the capital, look no further than the newly opened Marlin Hotel. Located beside Grafton Street and St Stephens Green, the location couldn’t be better. Guests love its stylish bar and outdoor dining area too, and it is rated Excellent on Tripadvisor.
2. Jurys Inn Christchurch: €88pp
Located opposite Christchurch Cathedral, and a stone’s throw from Dublin Castle, this is a great location to be a tourist in your own city. Despite its low price, you will find spacious rooms with Dream beds and flat-screen TVs.
3. Clayton Charlemont, Deluxe Double: €116pp
Centrally located overlooking Dublin’s Grand Canal, with St Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street a short stroll away, the location couldn’t be better. You will have a choice of dining options for dinner and can add on breakfast for just €7.50 per person. This is one of the most popular Dublin hotel deals.
4. The Grand Hotel Malahide with Swimming Pool: B&B €123pp
If you are looking for a seaside location, choose the Grand Hotel in Malahide. Many rooms boast sea views and guests have complimentary access to the award-winning Arena Health and Fitness Club with 21-metre swimming pool and gymnasium.
5. Staycity Aparthotel, Dublin Castle: €112pp
Staycity Aparthotels are a popular choice if visiting Dublin as they have the added advantage of self-catering facilities. Located in the heart of the city, with both Grafton Street and Temple Bar just minutes away, they are ideally situated for exploring Dublin’s top attractions. There is a also 24-hour reception with self check-in, and a 24-hour café bar.
6. Iveagh Garden Hotel €110pp
One of Dublin’s most popular hotels, the eco-friendly Iveagh Garden Hotel is located just minutes from St. Stephen’s Green, and adjacent to the Iveagh Gardens public park. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in Elle’s Bar & Bistro, and you can add on breakfast for €15 per person.

7. Trinity City Hotel, Superior Twin / Double, €97pp

For a central stay in the capital you can’t beat the Trinity City Hotel. Located opposite Trinity College, just minutes from Henry Street, Grafton Street and the DART Station, the location is ideal to explore the city.
I stayed here recently and loved its modern decor and relaxed dining options. The heated interior terrace is the perfect choice if you want to enjoy some al fresco cocktails, and the open plan restaurant boasts floor to ceiling windows.

I recall spending many a night in the Burlington Hotel. The annual Irish Travel Trade Awards are hosted there every year – it brings back great memories! I can think of nothing better than checking in for the night and enjoying a nice meal in the Sussex restaurant, or light bites in the lobby lounge.
9. Harrington Hall, Harcourt Street, €105pp
Located just 300 m from St Stephen’s Green, and 10 minutes walk to Grafton Street, The Harrington Hall hotel is a great choice for festive stay in the capital. This Georgian Townhouse offers superb value at just €55 per person for an overnight stay.
10. The Dean Hotel: Double Room, €117pp
With a rooftop bar and restaurant, and a prime location on trendy Harcourt Street in central Dublin, The Dean is one of the most popular Dublin hotel deals.
This modern hotel is one of the ‘coolest’ places to stay in the capital. Walk to Stephens Green and Grafton Street in minutes, and Dublin’s vibrant night scene is right on your doorstep.
11. The Gibson Hotel: Superior Room €95pp
I’m sure many of you recall pre-concert drinks in the Gibson Hotel bar, before an event in the 3 Arena. The chic Hemi Bar and Coda Restaurant (of First Dates fame) have a great atmosphere and the food is always delicious. With panoramic views across Dublin port and an outdoor terrace if you happen to get fine weather, this is a great choice for a staycation in Dublin.
12. Portmarnock Hotel: €99pp
If you want to combine a visit to Dublin with a beach hotel, Portmarnock is an ideal choice. Located just 20km from the city centre, which is easily accesible by train, this beachfront hotel also boasts an award-winning links golf course and luxury spa.
13. Spencer Hotel: €106pp
Enjoy river views and delicious cocktails, as well as a swim and Spa experience in this modern 4-Star Dublin hotel. The Spencer Health Club boasts an 18-metre swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and fully equipped gym, and the Viola Day Spa offers a wide selection of treatments.
The Spencer’s Hotel location is great too, with EPIC Museum just minutes away, and Dublin city centre’s shopping streets within walking distance. The Luas tram line stops outside the door, offering a five-minute connection to Connolly Station, should you wish to explore Dublin’s suburbs, or go further afield.
14. Clontarf Castle: €135pp
Who doesn’t want to stay in a castle? At this price you have no excuse! Enjoy an overnight stay in this 11th-century castle in Clontarf, and dine in its award-winning restaurant, The Fahrenheit Grill.
15. Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire: €90pp
I had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire last year, and I loved its seaside location and its superb facilities – there is a spa and swimming pool on site.
16. Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel Killiney: €90pp
Overlooking Dublin Bay, I love the location of this hotel. I enjoy walking Killiney Hill Walk regularly. Of course you can also take a short Dart ride to Dublin city, or simply relax and enjoy the pool – this great hotel has it all covered.

It is situated close to Dublin City Centre, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the capital. If you fancy a luxurious overnight escape that won’t break the bank – then look no further.
20. The Morrison Hotel: €156pp
The Morrison Dublin, Curio Collection by Hilton is located just five minutes from Temple bar and O’ Connell Street, and a few minutes walk from the nearest Luas (tram) station. Its modern bar and restaurant is as popular with locals as well as tourists, and there is a fitness centre onsite too.
This five-star hotel is more reasonably priced than other five star hotels close by, and is a good value choice for a central stay in the city.
