Located just 2km from Malin Village on the Wild Atlantic Way, this modern, architecturally designed home offers stunning views, and is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts. The house overlooks a bird sanctuary and there is an elevated bird hide at the bottom of the garden – binoculars and bird books are also supplied in the library.
The house is a short drive to Malinhead and bicycles are also available. There is an outdoor hot tub in the garden – you might get lucky and spot the Northern Lights, as they were previously sighted here.
2. Bavarian style log cabin with hot tub, Co. Leitrim
Lakeland Lodge is a stunning 300-year-old Bavarian style log cabin located in the countryside village of Kinlough, and only a short drive to the Wild Atlantic Way. It was originally built by farmers in Germany but 20 years ago, a well-known architect meticulously dismantled it and transported it to Kinlough.
This hot tub stay is decorated to the highest quality, without loosing its charm and character. One of the bedrooms has its own stove to keep you warm at night, and the surrounding balconies on each floor offer beautiful views of Lough Melvin.
The bathroom has a Victorian style bath, but if you prefer to bathe outside, there is an outdoor hot tub located in the four-acre site. This amazing home is pet-friendly too!

3. Couples Retreat Ireland with Sauna and Jacuzzi, Co. Cork

Surrounded by working farms, it is quietly located near Ballydehob in West Cork, and close to the Beara Peninsula and Wild Atlantic Way.

11. 15th century Tubbrid Castle, Co. Kilkenny
I think I struck gold when I found this Airbnb. Is there anything more romantic than staying in a 15th century castle – especially one that looks like this! Tubbrid Castle has been restored to its former glory retaining many original features, such as the grand oak banqueting table and four-poster bed, but you can also expect some modern luxury, like a powerful rainforest shower.
Located just 20 minutes from Kilkenny City, it is ideally located to explore the medieval city and Ireland’s Ancient East. There are three bedrooms so it is suitable for a stay with friends, but I felt it also deserved a place on this list of best Airbnbs in Ireland for couples.
12. Kylemore Hideaway in Connemara, Co. Galway
With stunning Lough Fee and the Garraun Mountains all around you, you may not want to leave this cosy cottage in Connemara. Listen to the waterfall outside as you add some more turf on the stove.
Although you may feel like you have truly escaped, this two-bedroomed farm cottage is fully equipped with all mod cons including a large TV with Netflix, free WiFi, and an electric shower. There is also a BBQ with outdoor seating.

I have been eyeing up this Airbnb for my own holiday, its location on Valentia Island is stunning, and it is undoubtedly one of the most romantic Airbnbs in Ireland. The Boat House is located right on the beach – just check out that view from the sitting room. This Airbnb is a 250-year-old natural stone building that boasts two bedrooms, it is pet-friendly too.

15. Martello Tower, Co. Dublin
One of the reasons I love my job is that I get to discover new travel experiences. I was amazed to learn that I could stay in a Martello Tower in Dublin – this must be one of the most unique Airbnbs in Ireland.
Located close to Sutton village, within easy access to Howth and Dublin city centre, this historic tower offers stunning sea views, an original stone staircase and a balcony around the entire building.

Why not spend some time with the one you love in a cute Irish cottage? Wake up with a stroll along the countryside or discover a quiet beach. These adorable cottages have so much to offer to those looking for a romantic holiday in Ireland.
16. Oystercatcher Seaside Cottage, Connemara, Co. Galway
This traditional two-bedroom cottage enjoys panoramic sea views from its outside decking area, and is close to many of Connemara’s beautiful beaches. It has been fully renovated but still maintains it’s rustic charm. The cosy sitting room has a TV, Xbox, DVDs games and plenty of books for you to enjoy, and there is also free WiFi.
Its idyllic location is a paradise during the summertime, but I’m sure lighting the wood-burning stove and watching the Atlantic Ocean outside would be pretty special during the winter months too. This must be one of the most popular cottages to rent in Connemara, so best to book it early to avoid disappointment.
17. Blue Stonecutters Cottage, Lahinch, Co. Clare
This delightful 100-year-old cottage has been beautifully restored, with many original features including beams, recessed windows and period furnishings. It boasts stunning views of the Wild Atlantic Way, and the villages of Doolin, Lahinch, and Liscannor villages are all close by.

18. Stone Cottage in Mizen Head, Cork
An 18th century farm house overlooking Barleycove beach in West Cork – it doesn’t get much better than this! I love this part of Ireland, and this restored stone cottage offers the perfect setting to appreciate it. The cottage can sleep up to three but I think this holiday home in Ireland is perfect for a romantic getaway.

19. Beachcombers Cottage, Killybegs, Co. Donegal
Beachcombers Cottage is a modern two-bedroom house located beside the fabulous Fintra Beach in Donegal. The fireplace and a modern 50-inch TV with Netflix, are perfect companions if you fancy cosy nights in, or the town of Killybegs is just 3km away if you want to venture out.
If you like hiking, Ireland’s tallest sea cliffs, the Slieve League Sea Cliffs, are just a 20 minute drive away.

20. Coastguard Cottage, Co. Waterford
This 200-year-old cottage offers stunning sea views from its outdoor hot tub. It is less than two minutes walk to the beach and although family-friendly, its remote location is ideal for a romantic getaway.
There are three outdoor areas including a patio with hot tub, and a sunken sheltered backyard which is perfect for sunbathing on a windy day. The house is 10 minutes drive from Ardmore and 20 minutes to the foodie town Dungarvan and the Waterford Greenway.

21. Airbnb with spectacular sea views, Lahinch, Co. Clare
If you are looking for the holy grail of sea side holiday homes along the Wild Atlantic Way, look no further. This modern 2-bedroomed home has a 270 degree view of the sea, with stunning floor to ceiling windows overlooking Liscannor bay and the Cliffs of Moher.
The open plan living area has polished concrete floors and there is a rotating stove in the middle of the living area. This has to be one of the best Airbnbs in Ireland, and it is one that is firmly on my own Irish bucket list!

22. The Boathouse, Strangford Lough, Co. Down
Recently refurbished, this beautiful two-bedroom cottage has direct access to the beach, and even offers deep water mooring in front of the house. The panoramic sea views are unobstructed and there is a deck to the front of the house with a BBQ area – a perfect place to enjoy the view.
Strangford Lough Yacht Club, which welcomes temporary members, is within walking distance and kayaks and canoes can be rented locally.
23. Seal Rock, Two-Bedroom Designer Cottage, Co. Kerry
Seal Rock Cottage is a stunning stone holiday home beside the sea in Rossmore Island, Kerry. It is situated on an acre of grounds and is connected to the Ring of Kerry by an ancient stone bridge.
It is clear from the stylish decor and furnishings that the home was designed by a professional interior designer, but the exterior is impressive too.
The landscaped gardens retain many of the natural features including a stream and mini-waterfalls, and there is an ocean-side terrace and private beach to enjoy. This is one of the most romantic getaways in Ireland, and children under 12 are not allowed stay!
24. The Stone House, Fanore, Clare
How stunning is this house? It was purposely built to resemble a stone barn and it is fair to say the owners succeeded! This two-bedroom cottage has a Great Room on the second floor with breathtaking sea views from its floor to ceiling windows, and the interiors and design are modern throughout.
The beach, O’Donohue’s Pub, a small grocery shop and a fabulous restaurant are within walking distance, and the Cliffs of Moher is just 10 miles away. This will surely be one of the most popular coastal holiday homes in Ireland.
25.Wild Atlantic Lodge, Co. Mayo
I fell in love with Achill a few years ago and this Airbnb is great choice if you want to see why. This luxurious one-bedroom apartment offers stunning views of the Wild Atlantic Way and is tastefully furnished with all mod cons. There is a private patio which overlooks the majestic Minaun Cliffs and some of Ireland’s beaches are right on your doorstep.

26. Granary Loft, Annestown, Co. Waterford
Located on the grounds of a historic Annestown house, this newly refurbished one-bedroom loft offers Atlantic views and has direct access to Annestown beach.
It is located on Ireland’s stunning Copper Coast, a place I visited last year during my trip around the Munster Vales. It’s proximity to the Waterford Greenway, Dungarvan and Waterford city ensures plenty of opportunities for day trips.
