christmas family hotel breaks in Ireland

From Kilkenny to Killarney, check out these festive family hotel deals in Ireland with prices from €285!

I love a break away between Christmas and New Year!  Its the perfect way to finish off the festive season, and a good excuse to take advantage of left over annual leave days. Stephens Day is a chill day though, right? With this in mind, I have chosen these family hotel deals in Ireland departing on the 27th of December. However if you wish to depart earlier or later, or change the duration of your stay, simply edit the search dates to suit your requirements.

Hopefully you will get lots of crisp clear days, but if not, don’t worry, because all of my family hotel deals in Ireland are based in family friendly hotels with swimming pools!

6. Center Parcs, Co. Longford: 2 bed lodge for 4 €1149 or €1249 for 6

family breaks in Ireland between Christmas and New Year

Our trip to Center Parcs was one of our favourite family holiday holidays in Ireland. We were fortunate to be able to visit in December last year to enjoy their Winter Wonderland experience, and I can confirm it was truly magical! The village was covered in 57,000 fairy lights, and there was 90 Christmas trees and 3 tonnes of snow – if you are looking for the ultimate Christmas experience in Ireland, Centre Parcs is the place to visit.

There are so many activities available for children, including the subtropical swimming pool, which we loved. Center Parcs is certainly more expensive than your average hotel break, but in my opinion, it’s worth it. I also have lots of saving tips to watch out for in this post:

The Park Hotel is centrally located just five-minutes walk to the lively centre of Dungarvan. With a Leisure Centre on site, and five acres of gardens to explore, it is no surprise that it is very popular with families. We stayed here last year during our trip around the Munster Vales. We cycled 10km along the Waterford Greenway from Dungarvan to Durrow – it is the most scenic section of the Greenway and suitable for children too. Dungarvan is a pretty coastal town with a great scene, making it an ideal choice for a family staycation.

  • Sarah, I was wondering if you have any deals for 2 adults & 2 older teenagers. We are happy to share a room to keep costs down.

    Many thanks,
    Louise

    • Hi Louise, if you edit the child ages on the links or select four adults, you should be able to get the exact prices. Most the rooms that hold 5 should take 4 adults, like the Inn at Dromoland or Claregalway Hotel – both very good value.
