Have you heard about Platinum Services in Dublin Airport?

For most of you, I’m guessing the answer is no. I must confess, until recently I hadn’t either. I  think secretly, they want to keep it that way… Platinum Services is the exclusive, 24 hour, private terminal at Dublin airport.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Platinum Services private terminal recently, and I was seriously impressed! Before you even enter the terminal, you can use the private car park directly outside. Once inside, you have access to individual suites, which are equipped with all the latest audio-visual equipment as well as complimentary refreshments. There are shower rooms, family friendly facilities and conference rooms.  Whether travelling for business or pleasure, your every whim is catered for – and its not just for business travellers either!

VIP’s, honeymooners or special occasion holidaymakers can avail of the service. Be greeted with champagne on arrival and even try their personal shopping if desired. Business travellers can arrange a private meeting in one of their suites or a larger conference in one of their board rooms. You no longer a need to sit in traffic across the M50 to meet a business colleague in the city, they can come to you.

The best part – no check in queues, no security queues, no queuing to board the aircraft – in fact NO QUEUES at all!. There is private check-in and luggage handling as well as a private security screening area. You are then chauffeur driven by luxury BMW to the aircraft. Who said travelling was stressful – not any more!

So I guess you are wondering how much this amazing service actually costs? Surprisingly a lot less than I expected. For individuals the cost is €160 or for groups of 5 or more the cost is €110. They have bundles for couples, €240 and a family bundle 2 adults & 2 children for €299; all one way. Meeting rooms are available for €200 for four hours. Catering options are available, from breakfast to canapés with prices from €6 per person. All prices include VAT at 23%.

Ok so you wont be using this every time you pop off to the Costa del Sol, but for a special occasion its a nice treat. For business travellers it can be invaluable.
