Best in Spain:

Did you know TUI feature 9 different regions in Spain this Summer? Choose from mainland Spain’s popular destinations of Costa Dorada and the Costa del Sol, the Balearic Islands of Majorca or Ibiza or the year round favourites, the Canary Islands. These are my top Spanish family holidays in July and August with free child places.

Salou : 4* TUI Family Life Avenida Suites, Half Board, 2 ad & 2ch, 5th July, €3098

TUI have numerous choices of accommodation in Salou, but the TUI Family Life Avenida Suites are one of my favourites. Located just 10 minutes walk to the beach and within easy access of the town centre and Port Aventura, they are superbly situated. Suites are bright and modern and come with mini-fridges and microwaves, which is ideal for families with young children. There is a large swimming pool as well as a kids pool with a slide and a host of on-site activities for all the family to enjoy. Kids will love the kids club and mini-disco, teens have their own ‘Hangout’, and there is also a baby club for little ones. Breakfast and evening meal is included in the cost and the reviews of the food are excellent on tripadvisor, in fact this complex is rated the 2nd best out of 92 hotels in Salou.

This highly rated All Inclusive resort, the Villa Mandi, offers free access to Siam Park, one of the world’s best water parks,  throughout your stay. You will also receive free kids entry to Loro Parque, which was voted the worlds best zoo by tripadvisor in 2017.  The pretty Villa Mandi complex is like a Mediterranean village with four swimming pools, kids clubs and plenty of sports activities on site. Majorca: 4* + Protur Bonaire Aparthotel, 3rd July, 2 ad & 2ch, €2547

This is one of the best family apartments in Majorca. We spent a week here a few years ago and the kids loved it. It is located just a few minutes from the beach and the centre of Cala Bona, where there is an ample choice of restaurants and bars. If you want to venture further afield, the larger resort of Cala Millor is about a thirty minute walk. We walked in to Cala Millor for dinner a few times during our stay. The promenade stretches right along the seafront so it is ideal for an evening stroll.

You don’t need to venture outside the resort though as the facilities on-site are excellent. There is a children’s splash park with a giant pirate ship and there is day and night time entertainment, including a mini-disco in the evening. Kids are spoilt for choice with kids clubs and a multi-sports court, there is also a crèche for children under 3 years. You can choose to go self-catering, half-board or All-Inclusive. This price is based on self-catering but if you wish to include all meals and drinks, just edit the search when you click on the button below.

One of my favourite destinations for family holidays, the Algarve, offers superb beaches, mouth watering food and great value for money in the resorts. I have chosen two family holidays in July and August with free child places, a self-catering option in the lively resort of Albufeira and an All Inclusive property in the pretty village of Alvor.

Located in lively Albufeira this is an excellent choice for families looking for good quality self-catering accommodation. Highly rated on tripadvisor, there are some great on-site facilities including a spa, gym and whirlpool. Kids will love the bowling alley, games room and large swimming pool, and there is a separate splash zone for little ones too.

All Inclusive, 4* Alvor Baia, 8th July, 2 ad & 2ch, €2824

One of my favourite resorts, Alvor is the picture perfect Algarve village. With white washed buildings and narrow streets, you can expect a small selection of bars and restaurants, but all good! The long sandy beach here is superb with plenty of rock pools for kids to explore. The Alvor Bahia is a four star All Inclusive property which is highly rated on tripadvisor and offers something for all the family. The kids club, entertainment programme, sports facilities and pirate themed play area, will keep the kids amused all day long. If you fancy some quiet time, why not chill out in their spa.

Best in Greece:

I brought my children to Corfu and Zakynthos and we loved them both! The scenery, laid back pace and excellent value for money, makes Greece an ideal alternative if you want to try something different this year. From self-catering to All Inclusive resorts, TUI offer both in abundance. I have chosen two family holidays in July and August with free child places, a great value self catering option and the All Inclusive family property, where we stayed a few years ago.

Kos: Self-Catering, 3* Mayflower apartments, 3rd August, 2 ad & 2ch, €1774

Cyprus NEW TUI Destination – Best in Paphos:

It is great to have a new family destination with direct flights from Ireland, I would love a family holiday in Cyprus and hope to get there this year. Paphos offers the perfect mix of a traditional town with cobbled stone streets and a modern harbour with lively bars and restaurants – it is one of Cyprus most authentic resorts. I have no doubt TUI”s exclusive Holiday Village will be a huge draw for Irish families, but if you fancy some great self catering accommodation or a waterpark holiday, TUI have both! I have chosen their SplashWorld resort in Paphos, as it has just recently been refurbished and offers great value.

4* Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort, All Inclusive, 2 ad & 2ch, 7th August, €3266!

The Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort is not only located beside the beach but it also has a great waterpark on site! I love that food and drinks at the snack bar in the waterpark are included as part of your all-inclusive arrangement, not all Splash Resorts offer this facility.

The whole complex including the bedrooms have been completely refurbished to give a fresh new feel. The addition of a burger house and an Italian restaurant compliment the two buffet dining areas, and kids will love the candy kiosk and ice-cream corner. The outdoor amphitheatre is great for evening entertainment and there are tons of facilities to keep the kids happy all day, even teenagers have their very own teen-club. Adults were not over looked in the make-over either, the Ocyan Spa and Fitness has been given a full revamp and there is a new nightclub too! Check out the fantastic reviews on tripadvisor!

Best in Bulgaria

4* SplashWorld Aqua Nevis Club hotel, All Inclusive, 2 ad & 2ch, 1st July, €2815

The Aqua Nevis Clubhotel has been a firm favourite with Irish holiday makers for many years. The waterpark is huge and is onsite. There is a family-friendly lazy river and wave pool, an Adventure Island for younger children with mini slides and water sprays, as well as slides to keep thrill-seekers happy too! Located within walking distance of the town centre and beach, but the hotel also has a free shuttle bus if you are too tired after a day at the waterpark! Family rooms are great too with sliding doors separating the bedroom from the living area, they also have rooms that cater for families with three children.
