Few cities capture the magic of Christmas better than New York. Add Macys, Sephora and Bloomingdales into the mix and you have the perfect Christmas shopping destination. Check out my top five Christmas shopping breaks to New York, and get planning!
I love visiting New York, regardless of the time of year, but there is something magical about visiting at Christmas time. Parting with your hard-earned cash on Christmas presents is also a lot easier when you are doing it in New York – and who knows, you might pick up some bargains for yourself too. I have lots of posts on shopping in New York and things to do in New York so if you need any more inspiration be sure to check them out.
Some people like to do their Christmas shopping early, some love the bargains available over Thanksgiving weekend, while others want to wait until the Christmas tree lights are turned on at Rockefeller Centre. This year they should be illuminated on the 2nd of December (date yet to be confirmed), so if you really want to see New York covered in Christmas lights, you should plan to go in December.
I have given you five highly rated hotels, in different locations, based on two, three or four sharing for three or four nights. All prices are based on direct flights from Dublin airport to New York. Flights are also available from other airports, such as Shannon, Belfast etc. – so if Dublin airport doesn’t suit, or you need to change dates or number of people travelling, simply edit the search to suit your requirements, when you click on the links below.
So whether you fancy a romantic weekend for two, or want to get a few friends together for the ultimate shopping trip, these five Christmas shopping breaks to New York should have you covered.
