This week’s Best Travel Deals from Ireland include a last minute holiday to Lake Garda, a five-star city break to Porto, a pre-Christmas ski holiday, Malta for mid term break, a luxury cruise around the Emirates, an early booking offer to the Costa del Sol for next summer, and staycations in Galway and Wicklow.

Escape to sunny Lake Garda where temperatures are still a balmy 23 degrees! I found return flights to Verona for just €50 on the 19th of October for seven nights, and if you fancy a shorter break – the price is the same on the 21st of October for five nights!
Sirmione is one of my favourite towns on the lake and the Hotel Porto Azzurro is a popular choice here. Price for a seven-night stay including flights is just €299 per person with breakfast included.
The transfer time from Verona airport by taxi is just 30 minutes, making this ideal for a short break too. Price for five nights on the 21st of October is just €246 including flights – La Dolce Vita!

Treat yourself to an overnight escape in one of Ireland’s most loved hotels – Brook Lodge in Wicklow. Renowned for its Spa and Wellness facilities as well as its award-winning restaurant, this is a great value break at just €70 per person including breakfast.

Its been five years since I visited Porto and I still remember its beautiful historic centre and amazing food scene. Its such a great value city break too – you will be amazed at the low cost of transport, attractions and dining out.
I found a great five-star break over St Brigid’s weekend for three nights. Price for flights and a five-star hotel is just €263 on the 5th of February – what a fabulous Christmas gift idea!

Best winter holiday: Pre-Christmas ski holiday in Austria , €372pp

Kick off the festive season with a week on the slopes before Christmas. I found a super deal to the pretty resort of Saalbach in Austria.
Price for flights, a seven-night stay with breakfast at the popular Pension Fürstenhof, and return airport transfers, is just €372 per person on the 17th of December.

Best cruise: MSC Europa with 2-night stay in Doha, €1469

Best family holiday: Malta for Mid Term
Malta for mid term has a nice ring to it! The latest Jurassic World movie was filmed in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Valetta, so why not combine some culture with family fun over a long weekend.
Price for return flights from Thursday the 16th of February are €175 per person, and a three-night stay at the 4-Star boutique Hotel Palais Le Brun – the number 1 place to stay in Valetta according to TripAdvisor, is just €502 per family including breakfast and free cancellation.
If you prefer an apartment, the 4-star Camelita Valletta is highly rated too and is ideally located to explore this beautiful city. Price is €384 for a three-night stay.

Best family staycation: Galway Christmas Market Saturday stay, €259
Kick off the festive season with a trip to Galway for the Christmas markets. Price for an overnight stay at the centrally located Connacht Hotel is €259 for a family of four on Saturday the 17th of December. Prices for mid-week stays are less.

Best early booking offer: July Holidays in Costa del Sol / Nerja
Return airfares to Malaga are just €125 per person in July! Let’s face it, these are only going to increase, so now is the time to bag yourself a bargain.
