Discover the wonders of Colorado, Wyoming and Utah on this epic road trip which begins in Denver, which is now easily accessible with direct flights from Dublin with Aer Lingus. This region offers a true taste of the American West, with vast national parks, authentic working ranches and traditional saloon bars.

Travelling south, you will cross the border to Utah visiting Salt Lake City and the stunning Bryce Canyon, where you will stay for two nights, before visiting Zion National Park and Lake Powell. Having visited Bryce Canyon and Zion last year, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Zion’s towering sandstone cliffs and Bryce’s hoodoos are spectacular, and offer two completely different experiences within a short distance of one another.
Your journey continues to the National Park of Mesa Verde in Colorado, before crossing into New Mexico to explore the historic of capital Santa Fe, and Taos Pueblo. This Native American Indian community has been continuously inhabited for over 1,000 years and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We did this exact trip with our children a few years ago and loved it. We cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge, visited Universal Studios and managed to get some beach time in too! This itinerary starts in San Francisco where you will enjoy a two-night stay.
After a busy few days, you will move on to Monterey, which is home to one of the world’s best Aquariums, before spending some time in San Simeon, where thousands of seals play right in front of you. An overnight stay in Santa Barbara will allow you to recharge before moving on to Anaheim for three nights.
