From luxury villas in the Mediterranean, to a tree house in the forests of Norway, these luxury Airbnbs in Europe will give you plenty of travel inspiration.
I published a post recently on the best Airbnbs in Ireland and it proved so popular that I decided to look for similar properties elsewhere. I am an Airbnb Associate, so I spent hours searching the Airbnb website and found everything from ski-in ski-out chalets, to luxury villas in Santorini as well as countryside farmhouses in Italy and France. I was amazed at the variety that is on offer. For this post I have chosen luxury Airbnbs in Europe, all of which come highly recommended from previous guests.
1. Trullo Della Ghiandaia, Alberobello, Puglia, Italy
We spent a magical few days in Puglia last year stayed in our own trulli on the outskirts of Alberobello. Trullo Della Ghiandaia was one of the highlights of our trip – we didn’t want to leave it. It was a fairy tale like villa, complete with two restored trullos and three bedrooms. There was a large outdoor swimming pool, with a terrace, BBQ and pizza oven. Cristina, our host, greeted us with home made lasagne, delicious focaccia and wine from her fathers vineyard – what a welcome!
I loved staying here, because we were able to go into Alberobello in the morning and evening time, without the usual day trippers being there.

2. Hector Cave House, Santorini, Greece
Santorini is one of Europe’s top bucket list destinations, and staying in a 250 year old cave house, that has been carved into the Caldera cliff just adds to the magic. This was originally a wine cellar, before becoming a family summer house, and is now one of the most popular Airbnbs in Santorini.
The house has just one bedroom, but can sleep up to five people as there are sofa beds in the living area. The private terrance offers breathtaking sea views and the outdoor plunge pool will ensure you get the perfect Instagram shot.
3. Cavtat Villa, near Dubrovnik, Croatia
Cavtat is one of those picture perfect resorts with stunning sea views and a great food scene. It also happens to be located close enough to Dubrovnik to enjoy its highlights, but far enough away to avoid the crowds.
We holidayed here a few years ago and loved it. This newly restored five-bedroomed villa is located close to the main centre and offers beautiful views of Cavtat Bay from its outdoor terrace.

Relax in the five-seater outdoor jacuzzi or under the thatch roof canopy, and enjoy the stunning views of the Côte d’Azur while the kids play in the shaded playhouse.
6. Villa Llenaire, Puerto Pollensa, Majorca, Spain
Puerto Pollensa is one of my favourite Spanish resorts. Not only is it perfectly situated on Majorca’s northern tip, but its old town has some great restaurants and bars too. This contemporary four-bedroomed villa overlooks the bay of Puerto de Pollensa, and comes with an outdoor pool, sun terrace and BBQ area, all perfectly positioned to enjoy the sea-views.
